Hi I'm Kerry

I grew up in Utah.

About Me

I am a retired elementary teacher. My wife is also a teacher. We have five children and eleven grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

My great-great grandparents were pioneers who crossed the plains with handcarts and settled here. I studied the beliefs of the Church and became convinced for myself that the gospel is true. I served a two-year mission to Indiana-Kentucky and have always been an active member. I have seen many blessings come into my life because of my personal testimony of the Savior and the love of my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving in my church as a clerk. I feel fortunate to meet each Sunday with the leaders of our local congregation as we try to fill our stewardship of watching out for the needs of the people in our area. It brings happiness into my life as I am able to donate my time and efforts to serve, knowing that in some small way I am also serving God.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Kerry
When my oldest son turned 19, he was called by a letter from the prophet to serve in New Jersey. Our second son went to Michigan, where I also served a mission. He even met some of the people I had taught the gospel to over 20 years before. Our youngest son is currently serving a mission in Argentina. I put $400 per month in a mission fund to help pay for his mission. We also purchased all of his clothes and personal items that he needed. Show more Show less
