Hi I'm Paul, Your Neighbor

I am of Divine origin, a husband, a father of seven, a builder. and I want to make a difference. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was drawn to religion in my youth with parents who allowed me to find out for myself. I listened to cassette tapes dramatizing church history. I felt the spirit confirming to me that Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. Since that time, I have practiced my religion and found eternal truths that I love to share. As a young man, I prayed for years for my future wife, that she would be the best she could be. This prayer was answered but in a surprising way. It also put a lot pressure on me to work hard to become better for her. We met in college, dated for three weeks and got engaged under miraculous circumstance. I am a father of seven children. This was a leap of Faith for me. While in college, my wife felt there were many kids wanting to be "checked out". I had a lot of concerns but relied on my testimony that Heavenly Father would guide us. Not knowing how many, we had seven children in thirteen years.

Why I am a Mormon

I started with questions to my parents who where life long members. They challenged me to find out for my self. I prayed and practiced as they did. I remember the day when pondering all that the Prophet Joseph Smith had to endure to restore the church. His fortitude to see things out when it wasn't popular. From personal experience, I knew how hard it was to stand alone at times to choose the less popular path. I had other spiritual confirmations when I read the Book of Mormon. This started a pattern of capturing my testimony each day.

How I live my faith

I want to be a good neighbor. Connect with those in my sphere of influence. I practice the truths I have received, which have included teaching lessons, helping others, and sharing the good news of the gospel.
