Hi I'm Erik

I'm an I/T professional, I'm an avid athlete, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy getting out and living life. I run, bike, and swim. I love getting outdoors and doing anything I can, whether it be camping, backpacking, paddling, or just relaxing! I love my work as an I/T professional. I love being challenged and working to develop new ideas and systems. I love delving in and solving problems. I enjoy developing apps as a hobby. I love getting out and having fun with friends. I love exploring new places and love to travel. I love finding the hole-in-the-wall places and the local favorites. I love seeing the sights and exploring the culture and history.

Why I am a Mormon

I love my Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ. I see their hands guide my life every day and I am grateful. I am a Mormon because I know that God restored His church on the earth again in our times. God has always called prophets, and He has always blessed His children. He has called a prophet again in our days and God guides His children today. He has restored the authority to teach and administer in His name again on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in Sunday worship and participate in volunteer teaching and leadership positions. One of the great opportunities I have is to visit with a few families in our local congregation and be visited and taught by other members of our congregation. I try to live to be more Christ-like each day. Some days I'm better at it than others, but I try to point my life to Christ.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

We as Mormons believe in sharing what we believe and sharing the good news the Jesus Christ brought. Men who are between the ages of 19-26 and women between 21-26 volunteer to go away from home and share the Gospel. I volunteered to be a missionary when I was 19 and I enjoyed every second of the two years that I served. Show more Show less
