Hi I'm Julia

I am from Ukraine, I am a returned missionary in the United States, I am a wife and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Mariupol, Ukraine. I finished a full time mission at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. I like to dance, read, and listen to music. I grew up without religion in my life, but a friend of my grandmother introduced my grandmother and I to the missionaries. I was baptized in 2005.

Why I am a Mormon

When I met the missionaries for the first time my mother didn't want to listen to them. I began to learn about the LDS church in my grandmother’s home. I had a lot of questions. All my life I felt that God the Father and Jesus Christ were two separate persons. On our first lesson the missionaries taught me that my feelings were correct. Jesus Christ and God the Father are two separate beings. On our second lesson I learned about the Plan of Happiness that Heavenly Father has for us. I felt joy because I received answers to my questions: - where I came from, why I am here and what will happen after this life. After two months of lessons with the missionaries, I knew the Gospel was true, I knew I wanted to be baptized as a member of this church by the power of the restored Priesthood. I was very impressed to know that we have a living prophet and apostles today. Through prayer I received answers to my questions and gained a testimony that these teachings are true. Today my testimony is very strong. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is God’s restored church on the earth. The Book of Mormon is a true book about our Savior and Redeemer. I know it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost. This knowledge helped me to be strong when my mother passed away only 2 years after I joined the church. Because of my testimony I have felt comfort and strength during my trials and I know I receive many blessings from being a member of this church. I am happy to be a Mormon!!!

How I live my faith

I feel God gave me this gift - a faith and a testimony of the Church. When i was as a missionary I showed my faith by keeping the commandments of God.Now I study the scriptures every day and go to the church every sunday. In the seven years since I’ve joined the church, my faith in Jesus Christ has continued to increase. I know He lives, my Savior and Redeemer. I am very grateful to have served as a full time missionary, to help people to find this same faith and testimony in our Savior. Now I am a wife and my husband was baptised 1 year ago. We just were sealed -2 may in the Kiev temple. We are very happy to know that we will be togather forever!!!
