Hi I'm Trevor

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in ID, but currently live in Ohio. I am currently studying to become a Podiatrist.

About Me

I was born in Idaho and lived there until I was 12 years-old. In 1990, my family moved to Longview, WA. I attended high school in WA and played football, basketball, and baseball. After graduating high school I moved back to Idaho and a year after left to serve a mission in Mexico. I year after returning from my mission I married my beautiful wife. We now live in Ohio where I am attending medical school. We have two beautiful children ages 7 and 3.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was born into the church. My parents and grandparents are members. I like any teenager had my ups and downs and had my doubts. But the Lord continues to bless me and my family and I know it is because of my membership and willingness to serve in the church.

How I live my faith

I am an Elder in my current ward and serve as a home teaching supervisor. As I currently have few responsibilities in the ward at this time, I try to magnify my calling and my personal responsibilities as a member of the church. Sure, I miss some months as far as my home teaching goes, but I strive to do what I can and help anyone in any way that I can.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith, we recognize the things he did to restore the Lord's church on the earth and we are grateful for the things he did and things he taught us. However, we worship Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father because it is through Jesus that we can return and live with our Father in Heaven. Also, it is our Heavenly Father who created us and gave us life. Joseph Smith was a prophet of the church and he restored many lost truths and even received revelation for many of the truths found in the church today. Joseph Smith played a vital role in the restoration of the church and the way that he did is nothing short of miraculous. But the church is called "The church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints" for a reason and that is because Christ is the foundation, the cornerstone, and strength behind the gospel and his church.
