Hi I'm Mark

I'm a physician and a father of 6. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've spent the past 10 years of post-graduate training enjoying the challenge of balancing school, work, a large family, and church and community activities. I'm a pediatric radiologist at a large academic hospital. I'm married to a brilliant and beautiful woman. I love spending time with my 5 energetic boys and 1 exceptionally sweet daughter. In my free time, I enjoy golf, warm weather, and cheesecake.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always believed in God. In the Mormon church, I have learned that He is our loving Father, who watches over us and answers our prayers. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins, such that we might repent and be forgiven. Because He loves us, he sends prophets to lead and guide us. Just as in times of old, He continues to call prophets and lead them by revelation in our day. The Mormon church has taught me the power of prayer, the importance of studying the scriptures, and the joy in reaching out to others. In this church I have found happiness. The confidence that comes from being led by a modern-day prophet. The peace that comes from knowing that I can be with my family forever, even after this life. The persective that comes from understanding the purpose of life. The joy that comes from following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I advise and help watch over a local Spanish speaking congregation of our church. I meet regularly with the congregation leaders to provide support and counsel.
