Hi I'm Jenny

I'm Canadian. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a freshman in college, studying psychology. It is my goal to eventually specialize in brain injury, and go to gradute school to get my masters degree in speech pathology. It's just my passion to help people, so that's what I would love to do for a living... just, making a difference in someone's life. I also love playing the guitar, and I'm trying to learn the piano. I love music, I think it can tell such amazing stories and touch people's spirits in such a unique way. I also love hockey, but my favorite sport to play is fastball.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel like I was lucky enough to be born into the gospel, so I didn't have to seek it out in a world that tries so hardly to dismiss the truths of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Growing up I realized just how important the church is to me, and my testimony has really strengthened over the years. It wasn't hard for me to realize I wanted the church in my life, because I know that true happiness comes from living the teachings our Savior taught. I also have a testimony of the scriptures and I know the Book of Mormon to be true, and I love reading the Bible and the ministry of Jesus Christ. He has set such a perfect example for us to look up to. I have felt the spirit way too many times in my lifetime, and have seen way too many miracles happen that it would be absolutely foolish of me to deny the truthfulness of the gospel. I owe so much to my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ, and I am so grateful for their love for me, as I have felt it so many times in my life. I know the gospel is true, and can't imagine not having it in my life.

How I live my faith

I have served as the Young Woman's Laurel's President youth group leader, so I helped plan activities, and make sure all the girls in our ward were feeling included, happy, etc. Currently I am serving as a sunday school teacher in my ward and I love it.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

We need a Savior for so many different reasons. You know those moments when you feel so low, like no one understands what you're going through? That's when you need a Savior. You know when you make a big mistake in your life, and you think there's nothing you can do to overcome that? That's when you need the Savior. Jesus Christ saves us from every single pain, heartache, and fear that we've ever had. He knows what we are going through. He will never abandon us, and he has shown us the greatest love of all through the atonement. Jesus Christ is our Redeemer we need him because he saves us. Every single one of us. Show more Show less
