Hi I'm Darrin

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mormon.

About Me

Well, for starters, I am recently married to the love of my life. We have moved away from our hometown so that I can get a degree in law. I love the outdoors, specifically snowboarding, waterskiing, hiking, and just going on walks with my Angel. I am studying to become a patent attorney with my background in Mechanical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because I know it to be true. I have always been one to ask a lot of questions and do a lot of research. I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ because I appealed to the one and only source that I know is incapable of telling me anything but the truth, God. I love the things that are taught in the gospel of Christ because they make me a better person when I put them into practice. I love being different in a good way.

How I live my faith

I believe in following the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ. While I'm am certainly not perfect, I strive to become better. I try to honor my Savior by keeping my language clean. I also think it is important to treat my body like the wonderful creation that it is. I do not smoke or partake of alcohol. I try to stay fit and active. I love getting involved with youth program such as the Boy Scouts of America. Programs like these in conjunction with the lessons of the Gospel of Christ help youth develop into great individuals and responsible adults. It is wonderful to see these youth realize the incredible potential that each one of them has been given by God. The wonderful thing about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that it focuses on the family and serving one another. There is no group more important in this life than the family.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

We believe in following the example of our Savior. Even though He was perfect, He was baptized to show us what we must do to return to live with Him. Baptism is one of the first steps we must take when we begin following the example of our Savior. He has invited all of us to come and follow Him. Show more Show less
