Hi I'm Katherin
Music is one of my passions. I fuel airplanes everyday. I love the sunshine. I'm a Mormon.
My name is Katherin. I am a 20 year old college student, and the oldest child of six in my family. I plan on going into the Nursing field and in the end becoming an ER Nurse. I absolutely love everything and anything about the outdoors. Out of all the activities to do outside fourwheeling and boating are probably my favorite. I also love to play softball, volleyball, sing and go for long drives to no where. I am currently serving as a Full Time Missionary in the Massachusetts Boston Mission, and wouldn't trade these 18 months for anything.
Why I am a Mormon
I was born and raised in the church. Ever since I was a little girl my mom would take me to church and to chuch activities. At the age of 8 I chose to be baptised and to recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost. Since that time I have slowly gained my own testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ and what it means to me. I love the gospel with all my heart. I know with out a doubt that it is true. I know that there is a Heavenly Father that loves every single one of us and that we can communicate and visit with him through prayer. I know prayer changes everything. That with the power of prayer questions can be asked and answered and many miracles can come before us. I know that the keys of the priesthood are on the earth today. And I am so grateful for the preisthood power and the blessing and revelation that come from it. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true and living prophet on the earth today. I know that he and his counselors are called of god. That they also love us and do everything in their power to guide us on the earth. I have a strong testimony of missionary work and that without it many would suffer. Knowing the truthfulness of the gospel is the only way to have pure joy and happiness. Without it we suffer. The gospel brings joy to my life daily. Growing up my dad wasn't really ever around. He was always gone working. He was raised in the church, served a mission and married my mom in the temple, but he slowly fell away and stopped coming to chuch altogether. He would come and listen to us sing on fathers day in sacrament but that was about it. Recently some things have happened in our lives that have caused his heart to change and turn back to Christ. And I know that through the Atonement that he is forgiven and can feel joy again. I am so grateful for the Atonement and the part it plays in my life. I am grateful for how it blesses me and comforts me to know that I can always be forgiven. That if I am willing to live the commandments and do the lords will that I can return to him again. That I can have everlasting life and be part of an eternal family. The church is true. I know it and if your wondering you can know it too. I love the Lord. I love his chuch, the work we do, and the great things that come from it. That's why I choose to be a Mormon.
How I live my faith
A great thing about the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints is the service. We always have opportunites for service and are encouraged to do them. I love to serve whether its in a church calling or just opportunity that comes up from a neighbor in need. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Massachusetts Boston. I love every second of it, and am blessed to be able to serve Gods children everyday and share the gospel with them.
