Hi I'm Bernard Duke

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Saying the Savior's name reminds me the example I try to follow.

About Me

Son. Brother. Father. My family is my greatest blessing. I enjoy experiencing the wonders and variety the Earth provides its inhabitents. On Wednesday and Saturday nights, I help keep the building we worship in clean.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It has not always been easy. I have many areas of my life I need to improve. But I have been blessed with an understanding that through my belief, faith, and hope in Christ that I can return to live, with my family, in the presence of God after this mortal life.

How I live my faith

I am not always the best at it but first I try to follow the teachings and example of, Jesus Christ by accepting Him as my personal Savior and by trying to follow His teachings. Verbally accepting Him is much easier than following him to the end, whenever that may be. Life presents itself with many challenges, trials, and temptations. They appear as battles. Some to be overcome in one conflict. Others reappear, "many times, even on the battlefield of the same virtue". As Paul said (Philippians 3:13 - 14) 13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
