Hi I'm Johnny Flaquer

I love photography. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At This time, I'm serving a full-time mission in Salt Lake City - Utah. I love arts, I was studying Fine Arts before my mission. The idea to create something new is something that I like and enjoy, but specially Photography, I think it is one of my greatest passions, as well as music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church. All my family are members, but that is not the reason why I still living this faith. When I was 15 years I took seminary classes and it was the first time that I started to read the Book Of Mormon and get more involved with church activities. Since then until today I realized how loved we are, knowing that Heavenly Father has created a purpose for each one of us, an eternal and everlasting plan of happiness, eternal happiness. He wants us to know which are the specific things He expects us to do on this life, even more important, the kind of person He wants us to become. Every single day as a purpose, a goal, in order to progress. Even though we commit fails and challenges comes through, the Atonement of Jesus Christ is the key to be spiritually healed and the key to understand this plan. I'm a member of the church of Jesus Christ because He guide this work with his Authority and because I'm a witness of the tender mercies that Heavenly Father has given me, given to my family, my friends and the people that I've helped and invited to recognize the greatness and infinite love of Jesus Christ and His teaching.

How I live my faith

Before my mission I was helping the youth as a teacher. Helping them to understand the importance of living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and being more like Him, planing activities specially during summer-time, I really enjoyed working with them. I was also representative of the Young Single Adults, that means I was en charge of re creative activities, such dances, service activities and such. Now, I'm using two years of my life to help others to understand what this life is all about. What role Jesus Christ and His Atoning sacrifice plays in the life of all mankind. Sometimes is easy, sometimes is hard, but it is always worth. One of my last experiences I've had on my mission has been the opportunity to go to a sealing ceremony performed at the Jordan River Temple, Utah. In which one family I taught almost 18 months ago got married and sealed to their children for this life and all eternity. I clearly remember the first time I met this lady. A month later she got baptized. After 2 months, her husband got baptized and their 2 sons followed them as the passing of the months. It has been such a wonderful blessing for them and for me. being able to see people progressing towards the celestial glory Heavenly Father is preparing all of us, if we keep his commandments, that's all that he requires of us. I know families can be together forever. The Father and the Son have restored the power to perform this great work among us, through prophets and apostles so that parents can be sealed to their children.
