Hi I'm Jeff

I am a huge Utah Jazz fan, I love to play basketball and tennis, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the town of Vernal, Utah. I am currently serving a two year mission in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission. Back home I love to play basketball, tennis, and pretty much any sport, running (if you don't call that a sport), hanging out with friends, watching movies, backpacking, and most of all hanging out with family. I am the youngest of five kids-four brothers and one sister. I now also have two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, one nephew, and four nieces. I can't wait to spend time with them once I get back home!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is Christ's church on the Earth today. I was born a Mormon but after eighteen years of going to church every Sunday I realized that I had no idea of what I truly believed. I always just assumed everything taught to me was true but I didn't know it deep down. I finally took the time to ask my Heavenly Father sincerely if this church was true and if the Book of Mormon was true. I was expecting some miraculous manifestation which I did not get. I wondered if the Lord really did answer prayers or not. I was really confused. It took me a couple of week to realize that I really was getting an answer. After that prayer, everytime I read the Book of Mormon I felt amazing feelings of peace, comfort, and understanding. I noticed that I was actually excited to go to church on Sunday morning. Those confused feelings had left and I knew at that moment without a doubt that the Book of Mormon is true and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ church restored on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do the best I can in following the example the Savior set before us. I have a long way to go but hopefully every day is better than the one before. I try to serve in the callings I have in the church to the best of my ability and remember to read from the scriptures and pray daily.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is our loving Heavenly Father that has a body of flesh and bone. We are all made in his image. His purpose for us is to be happy in this life and to return and live with Him forever. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Eternal life is the greatest gift our loving Heavenly Father has for us. Eternal life is more than just living forever but it is living forever back in the presence of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. This is where we receive the fullness of joy that He has in store for us and its where we can live with our families for eternity. If we obey the laws and ordinances of the Gospel by staying faithful to the covenants we have made we are promised Eternal life. Show more Show less
