Hi I'm Isaac

I love being active. I have many hobbies such as swimming and basketball. I am going on a Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors! I have always felt so close to God when I am in the beautiful back country. I also love running and swimming. Someday I hope to compete in an Iron Man. I'll start my training after I have served a mission. I am 6'3" and I love athletics. I also enjoy music. Singing can bring a great spirit. Which is another one of my hobbies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, both of my parents are members, and I was baptized ate the age of 8. When I was young I relied on my parents testimony’s. Years later, I remember sitting in seminary, I was a sophomore in high school, listening to Bro. Christensen give a lesson. I don’t remember the specifics of the lesson but I can remember thinking to my self that I didn’t know if what I was being taught was true. I wanted to find out. I started to listen and participate more. I tried harder to obey. I started to listen to the promptings of the Holy ghost. The Holy Ghost is the reason I have a testimony. It can prick your conscience and remind you of mistakes or habits that have yet to be resolved. It can also fill your soul with incredible joy. The spirit has blessed my life in so many ways. It is the frame work of my testimony. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me. Because he loves me so much he sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to atone for my sins and all of mankind’s. He wants us to return to live with him again. I can not make it back without Christ’s atonement. I will do all that I can and he will make up rest. I know that I can get on my knees at night and pray to God who cares, a God who listens, and a God who answers prayers. I know that families can be together forever. When I was 7 years old I lost my younger brother and sister in a fire. Even though they are not with me on this earth, I know that I will see them again. It is because of the sacred sealing ordinance that takes place in the temple that I am able to live with my family forever. I am so grateful that my parents were married in the Temple. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet called from God. I know that Joseph translated the Book of Mormon, the most correct book on the earth. I know that he restored the priesthood, which is God’s power here on earth, and I know that he brought back Christ’s church, which can never be taken away. Joseph Smith said. “Persecutions may rage, mobs my combine, armies may assemble, and calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent” I know this church is true. I know it. The spirit has born witness to my heart that it is true. I can be good without the gospel, but I can only be my best with the gospel. God has a plan. That’s why I am here. That’s why I am going to serve a mission in Mexico City. That’s why I am a Mormon. Favorite Scripture: 2 Nephi 9:41 O then, my beloved brethren, come unto the Lord, the Holy One. Remember that his Paths are righteous. Behold, the way for man is narrow, but it lieth in a straight course before him, and the keeper of the gate is the Holy One of Israel; and he employeth no servant there; and there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be deceived, for the Lord God is his name.

How I live my faith

I am going to be leaving on a mission to Mexico City very soon. I know my mission will not be easy. But I know that it will be worth it. It takes faith to serve a mission, I wouldn't be going if I didn't have any.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Isaac
