Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm a marketer, student, daughter, sister, aunt and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a Gospel centered home with parents who have strong testimonies of their own. I am the youngest of 6 kids, but wouldn't necessarily ever claim to be spoiled so much as very blessed with a wonderful family. I had juvenile disabilities but through the course of growing into teen and young adult years, I have overcome nearly all of those. For those who know me now they are surprised when they hear of my past disabilities. In my life I have considered it a profound learning tool my Heavenly Father has given me in having compassion and empathy for the mentally unstable along with many other lessons I have learned from it. Overcoming those trials I know that Heavenly Father has a specific plan for me and for each of His children. Thanks to the blessings of my Heavenly Father I hardly even remember the hospitals and other things. I will forever remember the impact those experiences made on my life and the lessons and impressions of eternal significance it has given me. It is for this reason that I love doing service, no matter how small it may be. I love volunteer work and seeing the expressions of gratitude on those who are blessed by it. I have been an aunt since I was 12 years old and delight in being around the little ones of my siblings. Being able to help care for them is one of my favorite forms of service to my married siblings.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but I had to find and search for myself that this really is the true church. My testimony didn't come all at once, but rather in an experience here and there. My testimony still continues to be strengthened. I've read the Book of Mormon, I've prayed to know the truth, and I have thought deeply about everything it says. I know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that the true church of Jesus Christ was restored through Joseph Smith Jr and that the fullness of the gospel is on the earth. The Book of Mormon can answer any sincere question of the soul if read, prayed and pondered upon. After much searching as a youth, and through many experiences throughout my life I know this church is true. I know that my Savior lives and that he invites all to come unto him!

How I live my faith

I served a mission in upstate New York, been home for over 3 years now, Jan '13. By serving others, I serve my Heavenly Father. I decided to go on a mission to help people learn the beauty of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The gospel of Jesus Christ is all about continuous progression and I love trying to be a little better today than I was the day before. I love seeing improvement in others as well as myself. I love life and I try to find joy in the small day to day moments. I am grateful I got the opportunity to volunteer for 18 months to share my testimony and love of my Savior and His gospel. Having been returned for a few years, the forms of serving others vary. Whether it is opening the door for someone or taking food to a sick friend or sharing food with those who are hungry. I live my faith by maintaining my relationship with my Father in Heaven through heartfelt prayer and study. As a poem once said "life is filled with twists and turns as every one of us sometimes learns." (Don't Quite Poem-Anonymous). Taking situations and circumstance day by day through service and prayer is how I get through.
