Hi I'm Dallin

I'm Canadian, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from British Columbia, Canada. I have lived most of my life here. I served a mission for the Church in Sandy, Utah. I love sports, especially hockey, basketball, and football. I also love making music. I play the piano and guitar, and I also sing and write music. In the past I have also been involved in theatre and public speaking. I have 3 brothers and one sister. My mom grew up as a Mormon, but my Dad didn't. He was baptized as a Mormon in the late 70's.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I grew up as a Mormon, I have my own testimony and I know for myself that this church is true. When I was 18, I wanted to know whether or not I should serve a mission for the church. I had just been involved in a car crash and had lost my job because of it, and things just weren't going well. So I decided to ask God what to do. I went to a forest by my house to pray. I remember it was really cold, and pouring rain - common weather for where I live. I knelt down and asked God if I should serve a mission. Immediately, I no longer felt cold, and received a strong, affirmative answer. It was as if God had been waiting for me to ask for a long, long time, and now he could finally give me the answer. The decision to serve a mission changed my life. I now have a firm and undeniable testimony that God lives, Jesus Christ is our Saviour, and Joseph Smith was a prophet God, and translated the Book of Mormon with God's aid, and the book is therefore true.

How I live my faith

I recently returned from serving a mission for the Church in Utah. A lot of people think that Utah is just full of Mormons, and there isn't anything for missionaries to do here, but it's just the opposite. I loved being able to go out everyday and testify to people that I see that this church is true. A missionary's purpose is to invite people to follow Jesus Christ, and I love it.
