Hi I'm Scott

I love playing basketball, being married, getting A's, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! I am from the beautiful state of Oregon, my favorite place on earth. I recently married the love of my life in the Manti, Utah temple. Being married brings me such joy and happiness, especially knowing it is forever. I served a mission in Cleveland, Ohio and returned over a year ago, it was an incredible and life changing experience. I am a pretty chill guy and really into sports, especially basketball. I had the opportunity to play throughout high school and it has been a big part of my life. I enjoy spending time with my wife, exercising, being outdoors, reading, watching movies, listening to music, hanging out with friends, eating, making people laugh, and finding happiness in the little things. I love my life and am so grateful for all the wonderful blessings God has given me!

Why I am a Mormon

For me, being a Mormon isn't simply based on chance or coincidence or convenience or anything like that! I am a member of this church because I know it's true with all my heart. I know it's led and guided by Jesus Christ, His original christian church of the former days, now restored here in the latter days. It isn't always easy being a Mormon, but it is so worth it! I love this church and this gospel, I love knowing I have the fulness of truth and know the Plan of Salvation, which will enable me to return to live with Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and my family forever. Knowing I will be with my wife forever brings such peace and perspective, it helps drive me to become better and live worthy of that goal. Ultimately, I am a Mormon because it's truly the best way to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I had the sacred experience of serving a mission for the church for two years which was a great way to live my faith everyday, by constantly sharing it with others. But certainly, living my faith is a lifelong commitment to Jesus Christ. Some things I do as part of that commitment are looking for ways to serve, whether organized in the community or just random acts of kindness. I try to live the teachings of Jesus Christ, His gospel. The Savior told us to let our light shine before men and that about sums it up for me. I try to be an example in the way I act and talk, even the way I think. Living my faith has brought me great blessings, because it draws me nearer to the Lord.
