Hi I'm Jake

Hi, I am from South Mississippi, I am a student, a husband, a father, a disciple of Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, everyday seems like its the busiest day ever. Its hard juggling family, School and work. I will be a new dad very soon and I look forward to the baby filling the voids of the day. I love every single sport you can think of. Love the Spanish language, Spanish culture, and especially the spanish food.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 19 I was going through one of the toughest times of my life. I needed answers, answers that seemed like I couldn't get anywhere. One person that I looked up to gave me the challenge to read the Book of Mormon. He gave me a deadline and sent me off to complete my task. I had never read the Book all the way through and I was curious because I had heard of its amazing stories. When I started my task of reading the Book or Mormon I literally could not put it down for days. I read and read and then read some more. And completed the book earlier than expected. I had always believed what my mother and dad had taught me of the LDS church but never seemed to have the knowledge of the important key elements. Did my heavenly father existed and if he was there, did he love me? After reading the Book of Mormon I felt like I could recieve these answers. So, I got down on my knees just like Joseph Smith and offered up my own prayer to find my answers. I prayed, and prayed but I didn't didn't feel anything. Then repeated my steps. Aggrevated with my self I prayed one last time with all I had inside because I wanted to know if he was listening. When I did that, I felt something that I could never depict or describe in the english language. If I had one word to describe it..... it felt like it was pure love. Love that explained everything to me.

How I live my faith

Im a home-teacher, the Scout master for our ward troop. And the leader for the service group for the Ward.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

We are indeed Christians and we believe that Jesus Christ was the son of God. Christ was sent so he could sacrifice himself for our sins. A Sacrifice that was painful and so great he bled from every pore and gave his life for us. He gave his life so that we could have the chance to live with heavenly father again. Show more Show less
