Hi I'm Amanda

I'm a teacher, a pianist, a cellist, a potter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

Because I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know beyond any doubt that this is His true church on the Earth today.

How I live my faith

I'm a Relief Society president, a daughter, and a friend. I try to live each day so that others can see the light of Jesus Christ in my eyes, and so that I can become His hands of mercy and compassion here on Earth.

Are Mormons Christians?

YES! We are Christians through and through. We believe that Jesus Christ was the literal Son of God, that he lived a perfect, sinless life, that he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane to pay for our sins and to feel our pains and heartaches, and that he was resurrected from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

There are two ways that we can be "saved," or in other words, return to the presence of God. The first is to live a perfect life; to never sin. The second is to rely on a Savior (who lived a perfect life) to intercede, or pay for our sins. As soon as we do something wrong, the first option is not available to us anymore. We become unclean. Jesus Christ was the only sinless person who could pay for our sins. Because he performed the Atonement, we have the choice to repent and let him pay for our sins so that we can be considered clean and can be with God for all eternity. Show more Show less
