Hi I'm Jill

I finished school and now I'm a young mom and happy wife. I live in Texas and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Northern California and then went to college to study Communications, Public Relations. I met my husband at school and got married. He was perfect for me! After graduating my husband got a job in Texas, and we had our first child. I get to stay home with her, and I love every minute of it! I enjoy being outside, eating brownies, learning about communication, designing web content, reading good books, staying active and spending time with family!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, and it has been a great blessing. From a young age, I wanted to do what was right. I saw a lot of people unhappy and lost, and I wanted to be someone who was full of light. I decided that I would do a little experiment. I would keep all of the standards of the LDS Church. I would be kind, read my scriptures, pray daily and do my best to be more like Christ. I decided that if I do all of these things and they make me happy, then I would be 100% committed to my faith. It turned out that I was happy. Not just a little bit more happy, but completely. People noticed I was different than others my age. As I grew older, I balanced my feelings on the inside with the things that made sense on the outside. Mormons held good morals. They valued families. They served in my community. They were the good kids in high school. As I learned more from my Church leaders and parents, I became more and more committed. Now that I am an adult, I am so grateful to be Mormon. I am a person who is very passionate. I'm glad I can channel all of my commitment into a worthy cause: to be a better person and serve others. I am also grateful for my knowledge of my Savior and for His gospel. I can now raise my children with true principles that will help them be positive influences in this increasingly scary world. I have had so many experiences confirm my beliefs. I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know which church is true. I know that this is the place to learn how to return to our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and our families forever.

How I live my faith

To live my faith I wake up every day with a determination to be a little better. I study the scriptures so I can learn ways to improve my life and be more like Christ. I also pray to my Heavenly Father to develop a relationship with Him. I try to look for other people I can serve. With my young daughter, I teach her about right and wrong. I look for other young moms to relate to and socialize with. I get to know others and I try to be a good example of someone who is committed to their faith and trying to do what's right.
