Hi I'm Kim

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother and a grandmother. I have one son, three daughters, a grandson and a granddaughter. My life has been devoted to raising my family. I have my own in-home childcare business which I have been doing for 20 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member since birth, but at some point we all have to decide for ourselves. Right after high school, when I thought I knew everything, I moved from my parents home and stopped going to church. It's not that I didn't believe what the church taught, I just got lazy and didn't think it was that important. For the next few years my life seemed to be going nowhere, or somewhere but not the right somewhere. At that point I was a little older and a little wiser, and realized why my life wasn't going the way I wanted it to. I started going back to church and living it's teachings. My life completely turned around and I have been blessed ever since. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the greatest blessing in my life. My life has not been without trials and hard times, but with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father I have gotten through them and I am a stronger person. I am at peace knowing that I am living my life the way God wants me to.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday of my life. It's not just something I do on Sunday but a way of life. I am constantly striving to live a Christ centered life in what I say and what I do. In our church no one is paid, everything is done voluntarily out of the love for our fellow saints. I am involved with the youth of the area. I help plan activities and opportunities for growth, both socially and spiritually. The youth are the future leaders of the church so it is important that we guide them the way Christ would. I am so thankful for the many blessings I have received by being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know that it is true and everything it teaches is true. It is the same church as the church Christ himself established when He was on the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true because of the peaceful and comforting feeling I get when I read it and pray. I know the purpose of this life is to receive a body and live the commandments, of ancient prophets as well as today's prophets so we can return to God and hear Him say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant".
