Hi I'm Rob

I grew up in Alberta Canada. I immigrated to United States when I was 30 yeasr old and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4 wonderful kids and my wife and I have been members of the church all our lives. I currently work full time for a large airplane manufacturing company and attend graduate school in my spare time. I am working towards a PhD with a focus on Business. It has been a long journey and I hope to be finished soon. We have family spread across the US and Western Canada. My youngest son and I love to go fishing and are getting geared up to start a new adventure in pain balling next spring.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been able to learn how to talk to my Father in heaven, where I have received guidance and instruction through answers to those prayers. It wasn't always so, and I have struggled a great deal to get to a point where I know that my Father in heaven hears and answers my prayers. This has had a profound effect on my life and continues to provide guidance and comfort to me in times of need, even today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church, fulfilling service callings that I have received and by working with my family. There is a great deal of strength that I get by knowing that I have an eternal family. It gives me confidence and courage to do the things that are not easy. The things that hopefully build strong and lasting relationships with my sweetheart and my children. Just recently, my wife and I were called to be co-chairs of our annual Stake Creche. This is a wonderful 3 day community event where over 600 nativities and 100 peaces of artwork are displayed, there are children's activities, family photos with a nativity theme can be taken and where wonderful musical presentations are preformed. Hundreds of people are involved in the success of this event and there are thousands of people that come to enjoy the music and the displays. This sets the tone for Christmas and helps everyone that participates to feel the love that we all share for our Savior, Jesus Christ. We even have a website where we share information on the event on-line. (see http://www.mvcreche.org/index.html)
