Hi I'm Allison

I was born in CA, but have been in Colorado since I was 5. I have 3 children, & help my husband with our business. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of three wonderful kids and help run a DJ/Photo/Video business with my husband. When I am not busy with either of those, I enjoy gardening, reading, hiking, and playing the piano to name a few. I love going to the mountains here in Colorado, where I have spent most of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I have always known it was true. I have had numerous times when the truthfulness of it was reinforced in me. Since I was a baby, I had epilepsy. I grew up with seizures my whole life. Things got harder to handle as I had my children. About 8 years ago I went in to have brain surgery to remove the part of my brain causing the epilepsy. I know it would not have succeeded as well as it did had it not been for the priesthood. I had a blessing given to me the night before that promised me that the hands that worked on me would be guided. As a result, everything went smoothly-smooth enough to where the doctor now calls me his "poster child". I have been cured of epilepsy ever since then. This is only one of many experiences that I have been blessed to have. The Gospel has been a guide to me throughout my life growing up, and kept me happy even during trying times. I now am trying to teach the importance of it to my kids so they can realize that though life is trying, you can still be happy. I love the peace this Gospel brings into our home. We are all striving to live each day helping each other learn and grow so we can be eternally happy together as a family. As we follow the teaching of the Prophets and what is in the scriptures it brings a comfort in our home, and makes us want to serve others more. It helps our kids realize that it is more important to step out of their own circle of comfort and selfishness, and reach out to others that may need their help. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and am so grateful that I can have such a close relationship with him. He is my Guide. He died and suffered for us so we can return again to see Him. I know He lives! I know He wants us to be happy, and be able to live a full life, so we can return to Him again. I know if we live right we can return to live with Him and with our family forever.

How I live my faith

I am the Bear Cub Scouts Den Leader. I love working with the 9 year old boys. They are very active and fun, and keep me feeling young. We have scouts every week, and it is amazing to see how they grow in just the short year that I have them. I also play the piano for the children every Sunday. I love hearing them singing! These are the children that will one day become my leaders.
