Hi I'm Susan

I love music, I love to laugh, I'm a Southern Girl, and...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Michigan and raised in Georgia, so I consider myself a "Transplanted Georgia Peach". I find that laughter has healing power. I love music and have recently discovered the soundtrack to my life. I read a lot and am learning to crochet. I'm finding that life is getting better every day and I am excited about that.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but my family was pretty relaxed about practicing what we were taught. At the age of 21 I ended up leaving the church and choosing a different lifestyle for a while. However, I became very unhappy, miserable, severely depressed and completely overwhelmed in darkness. I always knew I would find my way back, but for a long time it seemed too hard. As I started making better choices for myself, I found my way moving towards the right path, but still scared about facing the other choices I had made - not knowing what I would have to do to get back into the church. All of a sudden, there were some amazing people around me who, along with longtime friends, helped me find my way. I realized that Heavenly Father was tired of waiting for me, so He made it happen. I can honestly say that I've been happier since this journey began than I was my whole life before that. Why am I a Mormon? I want to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living my life the best way I can. I do my best to fulfill my callings and support those around me. I work hard to keep moving forward so that I can stay on the straight and narrow path that will lead me to eternal happiness.
