Hi I'm Kirdy

I love reading, making crafts and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in the church, surrounded by member friends and family. I help teach acting at my local high school performing arts program. I'm a college student and I'm studying Art History, and someday aspire to be an elementary school librarian. I'm so grateful for the many talents and blessings our Heavenly Father has given me, and for all the many chances I get to share those talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church. Not only is it a wonderful church and organization, but it's also beautiful life-style and community to live and grow up in. I'm so impressed and inspired by the clarity and truthfulness that this Gospel embodies. Somebody once told me that even if this gospel didn't turn out to be true (impossible!) he would still be glad to have lived his life following the complete teachings of Christ as a Latter-Day Saint, because it would have meant that he was still being the good, hard working, honest, humble and loving person that our Father in Heaven wants us to be. I know Christ lives and that he died for us. I know that the Book of Mormon is true inspired scripture. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that Thomas S. Monson is a true and living prophet in these latter days. I have a strong testimony of being an example. I've seen in my life, and the lives of the people close to me, just how much of an impact our examples have on others. We through our words and actions are missionaries. I have a testimony of the power of music. "For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads." Doctrine and Covenants 25:12. I know the Atonement of our lord and savior Jesus Christ is real and that through him we can return to live with our Heavenly Father again. "But, behold, Zion hath said: The Lord hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me—but he will show that he hath not." 1 Nephi 21:14. I know that even if we feel alone and feel as if our God has forgotten us, he hasn't and he will show us that he hasn't.

How I live my faith

I got sealed to my sweetheart December 20, 2013 in the Newport Beach Temple, and we have been serving in our ward primary ever since. We love the opportunity we have been given to help teach the children to love Jesus Christ and want to live and spread his gospel. I try to always live my faith by being a good example of what the church stands for, and always being open to share what I believe with others.
