Hi I'm Nathan

Im a Florida boy, sports guy, and music junkie. I like to hang out and kick it in a t-shirt and jeans.

About Me

I'm 21 and from Florida. In high school I played football for two years. After graduating I attended college for one semester where I also played football. I love being active and doing things Ive rock climbed, skim boarded, played over a dozen different sports. I love to chill and hang out with my friends. I love to laugh, part of that is playing practical jokes but laugh none the less. Being from Florida I also love the beach! Being at the beach just makes everything better, having the salty air just makes the cares go away. Music is also a huge part of my life, I listen to all different types of music. I love rock, love rap , and love country it doesn't matter to me. If I could I'd listen to music all day everyday. I am currently serving the lord for the next two years as a missionary in the Bay area of California. I love my Heavenly Father and am truly thankful to Him and my savior Jesus Christ for the blessings they have given me and joy they have provided me in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with LDS parents, and growing up in the church isn't always the easiest to become converted to the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Today I feel like I'm a Mormon because my parents taught me well they brought me to church and taught me how to become a man and be a good person. I'm a Mormon because I know that this is Christ's church here on the earth and the way I know it is because I defended it from people who would say offensive and false things about this church and the feelings I get when defending what I know to be true, it's undeniable. I'm also a Mormon because of the feelings i got one night while on my knees asking for forgiveness for my mistakes in life. In that moment, as I prayed, the overwhelming feeling of love and joy that came into my heart let me know that Jesus Christ is my personal savior and redeemer, and that this is his restored gospel on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every week and doing anything that is required of me. I also love to give up my time in service for others. Whenever I have the opportunity to help others that can use my help I make myself available for them. I live my faith by reading my scriptures and praying everyday. I live my faith by staying strong in the standards that i was raised by, I don't drink, don't smoke, and don't get body piercings or tattoos. I'm respectful to those around me. I strive to be Christlike in my actions, like Christ said "for the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do" that means being patient, kind, charitable, and most important of all forgiving. However, I am not perfect, I have made mistakes in my life that made me repent, what is key though is to learn from it. To learn to apply the Atonement of Jesus Christ. That's why praying, reading the scriptures, and going to church are so important.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

The term "Mormon" is a nickname given to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The reason for that is because we believe in a book of scripture knows as The Book of Mormon. Mormon's are Christians. We believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, and in God as our Eternal Father. We believe that Christ established the fullness of his Gospel while he was here on the earth. The fullness of that gospel was lost when He and all of the apostels died. The Fullness of His Gospel, as well as the priesthood authority was restored in through the Prophet Joseph Smith.
