Hi I'm Colton

I'm a snowboarder, a college student, a hiker, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving as a full-time missionary for the LDS Church in the Paraguay Asuncion North Mission. I love this opportunity to serve God and share the wonderful message of the restored gospel with the people of Paraguay.

Why I am a Mormon

I've chosen to be a member of the Mormon church because of the happiness and blessings it brings into my life. When following the teachings of the LDS church, my life is enriched and I feel closer to God and Jesus Christ. Because of my firm testimony in the Book of Mormon and Jesus Christ, I love to serve in the Church and bring others to the restored gospel and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking the name of my Savior upon me, living the commandments each day, keeping the covenants that I've made with God, and being a good example to those around me while building my own testimony in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Colton
The Mormon Church was started by Jesus Christ when he first came to Earth. After He and His apostles were killed, His authority left the Earth until the Prophet Joseph Smith restored the gospel in the 1830s in upstate New York. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Colton
Mormons are not required to serve missions by any means, it is completely voluntary. However, many 19-25 year old young men and women (along with couples) do choose to follow Christ's commandment and take a 2-year break and focus their energy full-time to their Lord and Savior. Currently, I'm serving as a missionary for the LDS Church in the Paraguay Asunicion North Mission. Even though Jesus Christ commanded all his followers to do their part in spreading his gospel to all nations (Matt. 28:19), I personally chose to take just a small portion of my life to serve the Lord with all my heart, might, mind, and strength (D&C 4). I love my Savior and his gospel more than anything in my life and I'm honored to be an official representative of him to the people of Paraguay and share with them the peace and happiness that I've received from following Christ.
