Hi I'm Wayne

I grew up in Utah. I'm going to school to become an auto mechanic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a single guy going to college. I am currently studying to become an automotive technician. There is just something about working on cars that I find therapeutic. Not too long ago I was working on a photography degree. I love taking pictures of random things I find! I love music! I love plugging into my mp3 player and get lost in my music. I mostly listen to 70's rock, but I have a very large area of interest. I sang in choir all four years of high school. Singing is my favorite! I also used to play the bass in my high school jazz band. I haven't played the bass in years, however.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church and can trace my Mormon heritage through ancestors from the late 1800's. My parents instilled in me a faith in Jesus Christ and His gospel, as well as a belief that Joseph Smith was called my Christ to restore His lost gospel to the earth. Growing up I never doubted my parents faith, and never had a reason to doubt my own beliefs until my teen years. Around the time when I was 14, I was going through a difficult time related to school, and other pressures of being a teenager. I remember one day in particular when I got home and was frustrated, discouraged, and a little lost. I had been going to church, but only because my parents wanted me to, and it was "the thing to do". However, at that point I realized I was in a tailspin that, had I continued, would have ruined my life forever. I then had the thought to pray, and so I prayed. It was then that I first felt the stirrings of my own faith in my heart. I realized then that there was a God who loved me, and that Jesus Christ lived. Through the years leading up to today, I continued to work on my faith through scripture study and prayer, and I found out for myself that the Book of Mormon was true! I know that Joseph Smith was called as a prophet to restore the gospel that was lost after the death of Christ and His apostles. And most importantly I know that Jesus Christ died for me, and all mankind. He suffered pain imaginable, to wash away our sins, and overcame death so that we might live again! I would be lost without Christ, and am forever thankful that I have a relationship with Him to guide me in my life.

How I live my faith

I love going to church! It gives me such a boost to go and worship the Lord every week. It gives me a chance to take a break from the world, and focus solely on Jesus Christ, and His gospel. Though I try to live a live like Christ's every day, its hard to do in a world that seems content with ignoring, or even working against Christ. Church on Sundays help me to refocus, and give me a fresh start for the week.
