Hi I'm Mitch

I love my family. I'm always looking for a mountain to ride my snowboard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Utah, California, Chile, Mexico and finally Ohio. I studied Finance in college, including a study abroad course in Mexico. I work for the federal government. I love to snowboard, and play sports. I'm also a big sports fan, particularly college football and basketball. I'd like to go to as many sporting venues as possible, but I'm off to a pretty slow start. I'm married with one baby girl, and another baby on the way. Watching my daughter grow is my favorite thing to do, but spending time with my wife is top priority as well (now if she'd just get off the dancing kick!) but I also enjoy getting together with friends for games or going on an occasional motorcycle ride.

Why I am a Mormon

I came to know that the Book of Mormon is indeed the word of God through earnest and sincere prayer. Once I knew the Book of Mormon was true, the other elements of the church fell into place for me.

How I live my faith

I'm a leader in our congregation's men's group. I visit several families each month to ensure they're growing spiritually, and that they have the necessities of life. I translate our sunday services into Spanish for any Spanish speaking attendees to our Sunday services.

What are some of the ways that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps those around the world?

Mitch
When natural disasters strike such as Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast the church is one of the first aid organizations on site. We bring in food water and immediate needs for those affected. These operations are funded by donations from members of the church. We try to give at least the monetary equivalent of two meals a month to this program. It doesn't sound like much, but just a little can turn into a lot with everyone pitching in. Plus, if we've got the ability we can always give more! Show more Show less
