Hi I'm Beth!

I'm a wife, dancer, and puppy mom. I love to travel and explore other cultures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At the age of six, I performed on stage for the first time as a horse in a balletic rendition of "The Wizard of Oz." Since then, I have traveled across the world as a performer. I have a college degree in dance and have spent years sharing my passion with young people. When I'm not dancing or teaching dance, I can be found teasing my poor husband, baking something delicious, or playing fetch with my adorable puppy. I am a perfectionist, I love the mountains, and I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to live my life in the Gospel because nothing brings me greater joy. As struggles have come and gone throughout my life as they inevitably do, my knowledge of God, my Savior Jesus Christ, and the Atonement have been a foundation I cannot imagine living without. The restored Gospel of Jesus Christ speaks peace and assurance to my soul in this contentious, ever-changing world. It teaches me where I came from, why I am here, and provides the only path to complete eternal happiness, living with God once again.

How I live my faith

I feel that the most important fundamental of religion is a deeply personal connection with God. I foster my connection with my Heavenly Father through personal prayer and scripture study on a regular basis, so I can have the Spirit to guide me in my life. I live my faith by attending my church meetings every Sunday and supporting my church leaders in their callings. I try my best to be a good neighbor and friend by making myself available and by offering my assistance when I can see it is needed. A church calling I genuinely loved was teaching primary children. Those kids have such sweet and powerful spirits, and they'd always surprise me with the knowledge and understanding they already have. I have a testimony that the programs of the Church are inspired programs, and the basic truths children come to learn from them are good and from God.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, Mormons are Christians! The actual title of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. "Mormon" is just a nickname based off the Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Christ is very much the center of everything we teach and preach. Our church is organized precisely how Jesus set it up when here on the earth, and our modern-day prophets do nothing but testify of Him, his love, and his Gospel. We believe that our purpose as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is to invite everyone to learn of Christ, believe in Him, accept Him as their Savior, and be baptized--as He was--to fulfill all righteousness. Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

God is a just God, and all of us are sinners. We all make mistakes each and every day of our lives, both big and small. After this life there will come a time when we will be judged according to our works, and because none of us are perfect, none of us deserve to be with God. Christ is our only hope for exaltation because He truly has saved us all. During the Atonement, Christ suffered the pains of every affliction, heartache, stress, sickness, and punishment that any of us will ever feel. He paid the price for our sins so that we won't have to, and there is no greater gift than His mercy and love. Because He has taken upon himself the role of our Savior, we have the opportunity to repent, be forgiven of our sins, and ultimately attain exaltation. Show more Show less
