Hi I'm David

I grew up in Las Vegas. I served a mission in the Amazon. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Father of four girls who are all about princesses, fairies, dressing up, and anything else girly. Professional electrical engineer with a master's degree in electrical engineering. Hobbies include roller blading, indoor soccer, and radio control trucks, planes and helicopters.

Why I am a Mormon

The Bible has taught me that Jesus Christ is the only way back to our Heavenly Father. The Book of Mormon has confirmed this sacred role of Jesus Christ and has taught me that God has a plan of happiness for all of his children on this earth, and He is still guiding his people today through living prophets. The Holy Spirit continues to confirm these things are true each time I read the words of ancient and latter day prophets.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be a better father, friend, husband, neighbor, and co-worker each day.

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

God has given commandments that must be satisfied. Even Jesus Christ needed to be baptized to obey God's commandments. God has established the method of vicarious work as a means to satisfy both mercy and justice. The greatest work of all was done vicariously by our Savior’s sacrifice for us. In the temple, we too can help in the work of God by satisfying the demands of justice and allowing mercy to be extended to those who have passed on. Show more Show less
