Hi I'm Chris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a District Manager for a large flooring manufacturer. I live in Utah, but was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have four children and a beautiful wife. I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I joined when I was a teenager living in Cincinnati. I enjoy following my kids around in their activities and love going to the movies. I am a big movie buff and enjoy the whole theater experience.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I joined when I was 14 years old because my whole family was getting baptized, I have learned to develop my faith on my own over the years. I have not had that "one incredible spiritual experience" like some people you may have read about in the sciptures. My belief in the church has grown steadily over time. My belief is a product of personal revelation through scripture reading and prayers and also experiences that I have been blessed with throughout my life. While I am not perfect, I do have a testimony of Jesus Christ and belied that this church is His church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

In addition to my family responsibilities and my career, I am quite involved with my church. One of the reponsibilities I have is working with young people. Oftentimes I will counsel with them and be part of their activities. Since the church is one of the largest supporters of the Boy Scouts of America, I am actively involved with the Boy Scout progrm through the church. We go on campouts, earn merit badges and generally have a lot of fun in the activities we participate in. I try to live Christian ideals in my personal life. I try to be fair with everyone, treat others with respect and encourage good behavior. I think that people generally know that there is something "different" about me because I don't drink or smoke and don't use foul language. In most cases, people seem to respect and support my lifestyle.

Are Mormons Christians?

Of course they are! I'm not sure why we would be classified as anything else. We believe in Christ, the Bible and hope to return to live with Him again someday. Show more Show less
