Hi I'm Sheila

I live in Idaho. I was raised in Louisiana and converted from Catholicism to Mormonism when I was 29. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I raised my six kids then had a career, retired, then served a senior mission as mission secretary. I loved my kids when they were little and I adore them as adults, and I treasure my grandchildren. All of us have fun together indoors and outdoors food and cooking is always involved!. Family is the most fun!

Why I am a Mormon

My brother-in-law came for a visit and we noticed that something was different about him. One thing was that he didn't drink beer with us at the barbeque. Later, he told us that he had become a Mormon. I had never known a Mormon and had lots of questions, so eventually we met with the missionaries. Months later, and many missionaries later, my husband and I decided to become Mormons. We believed what we were taught by the missionaries. Now, 38 years of experience later, my belief is stronger and I am sure of the truth of this gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be Christlike in my daily life. I have faith that I can live eternally with my Father in Heaven if I follow the examples that Jesus Christ set when he lived on Earth.

Are Mormons Christians?

Of course. The name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Read about Him in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Then pray and ask God if these things are true. The Holy Spirit reveals the truth to each of us.  Show more Show less
