Hi I'm Travis

I live, work, & play in the Pacific Northwest.

About Me

I have an Economics degree and work as a Financial Analyst for a manufacturing company. When I find the time, I enjoy barbequing and smoking ribs in our back yard. My wife and I enjoy gardening. We have planted peach trees, an apple tree, a pear tree, an apricot tree, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. Each summer we also plant a salsa garden.

Why I am a Mormon

I strive to be a good disciple of Jesus Christ. He is the long sought Savior of the world that prophets such as Moses, Abraham, Issac & Jacob worshiped. He atoned for my sins and was resurrected. He desires that all men and women repent and become clean through his atoning sacrifice. The Church encourages and motivates me each week to follow Jesus Christ's example. The church offers me the opportunity to meet each week with people who also believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior. With the death of Jesus Christ's Apostles, the authority to continue to lead Christ's church was lost from the earth. Many followers attempted to maintain and lead but in the process truths were lost and men's ideas began to replace Christ's teachings. Several years later, men and women attempted to lead a reformation of Christ's church and teachings. It is my belief that a restoration was necessary. I believe the heavens were opened and Jesus Christ did restore his church once more among men. Never to be taken from the earth again. This church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly called the "Mormon" church. I love being a "Mormon" and a member of Christ's church.

How I live my faith

Christ taught the importance of serving others. Being a Mormon gives me several opportunities to serve. Each week I am challenged to be a better husband and father. Each week I am challenged to lift those around me who stand in need of help. Because the church has no paid clergy there are many opportunities to volunteer and serve in the church. This has always been a blessing for me.
