Hi I'm Tim

I am married with 4 children, have a happy life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family, enjoy life and spending time with people. I have worked in sales most of my life and enjoy the opportunities that my family has received. I have worked for many years in the world of Medicine and Life Sciences. My family is active and we enjoy sports and many activities together. I have had the opportunity to coach many of my childrens sports teams and be a fan of their music and other activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the words of Jesus Christ when he told us that the gospel he established on the earth would one day be taken from the earth and then restored back to the earth in preparation for his 2nd coming. I am a Mormon because I believe the Heavens are not closed and that Heavenly Father has placed a living Prophet on the earth today to give us guidance and direction. He is a man called of God just like Moses, Noah and Abraham and gives us guidance in these troubled times. I am a Mormon because I believe Heavenly Father can use the Priesthood Power to bless the lives of his children here on earth. I am a Mormon because I believe that Heavenly Father can hear and answer our prayers each day.

How I live my faith

I live my faith as a way of life and it makes me very happy. I do not see the commandments as limitations at all, but instead the summary notes on how to be happy. As I keep the commandments, I feel I become more empowered to accomplish much and be successful. I try to live my life by listening to the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I have learned that Heavenly Father is anxious to give us guidance and promptings about all areas of our life. As I listen to these promptings and try to follow them, my life is blessed.

Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

Tim
We dress up for church in nice clothes and feel more reverence for Heavenly Father when we do this. We also believe in having fun and celebrating. We celebrate most major Holidays and we celebrate them well! We love Christmas and Easter and enjoy the opportunity to recognize these, and other important holidays. Show more Show less

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Tim
I cannot speak as to why others call us a cult, but I can give you my opinion. I believe others call us a cult because they have not taken the time to understand what we believe and why we believe it. We do not force anyone to accept our word, but simply share with them truth and invite them to ask God if it is true. We believe in following the doctrines of Christ and being faithful to his commandments. We believe in honoring him and in doing good to all men. I do not think this qualifies us as a cult.
