Hi I'm Adam

I love teaching & coaching. I love my wife & 3 kids. I like learning about how I can follow Christ better.

About Me

I enjoy watching and playing most sports, and exercising regularly. I also really enjoy listening to different kinds of music, singing, and playing the guitar. My favorite hobby is going for a run while listening to a talk/ audio book that inspires me. I like how it allows me to take care of my body AND have a deep, spiritual experience at the same time. In a similar vein, I also greatly enjoy singing 'church music' while playing the guitar. It allows me to continue to develop a musical talent I have been blessed with while singing words of praise to my Savior, Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the Church, and I am fortunate I was able to be blessed with my own witness of its truthfulness. The opportunity is there for anyone, and so are the blessings: read the Book of Mormon with a great desire to know, think about what you've read, and then pray to know for yourself that it is true. I know that the Holy Ghost will answer such a prayer because He did for me, and that Heavenly Father loves you just as much as He loves me. Since then, I have been blessed with a peace of mind that can only come by knowing who we are & where we are going.... Jesus Christ suffered so that we all might be redeemed from sin and able to live together forever with our families. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ to me is shaped around principles of obedience, humility, and selflessness. I do my best to try and live as He did. I believe that we need to show our faith by the choices we make. I try to keep it as simple as possible. I know that if I keep reading the scriptures, adjust my lifestyle to its teachings by making better choices, and sincerely repent when I make mistakes, I will be able to live with my Heavenly Father again. And, I want the same for my wife and children, and future grandchildren. This is all possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I do my best to serve whenever possible. I work full-time, attend graduate school, and partner with my wife to raise 3 amazing kids. I serve in the Church by supporting the full-time missionaries. We have weekly meetings together and I am asked to join them at the homes of some of the people they are teaching. I am happy to share what I know about the Gospel of Jesus Christ when prompted. Sometimes I am asked to help teach a lesson at Church on Sunday if someone is sick or on vacation. I like the opportunity to learn more about a specific topic as I prepare the lesson, find out what others know about the topic, and grow closer to those who participate in the lesson. It's great to learn from people who you can trust, and who you know are experiencing similar challenges in life.
