Hi I'm Dave

I played quarterback in high school. I'm an MBA graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a working student. While I am pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, I also work full time in the commercial real estate industry. Life seems to always be very busy. I always think about how nice it will be when I finish this semester, or when I make it to graduation. I've found, however, that I'm happiest when I remember my most important responsibility - which also happens to be my greatest joy - being a husband and a dad. My wife and I have a simple life: we live in a two-bedroom apartment, have a little two-year old girl, and another baby girl on the way. We love to spend time together at the park, playing the piano and singing songs, going on hikes, going swimming, and reading books. Since I work and go to school, we have to take advantage of every minute we have together, from catching up on the day at the dinner table, to dipping Oreo's in milk before bed. Even though we wish we could spend all day every day together, we live for those moments that we can share together.

Why I am a Mormon

There is nothing else in this life that has given me the same sense of peace, comfort, and direction as the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. It is an anchor in my life that gives me confidence that I have a loving Heavenly Father, that a Savior has given me the opportunity of repenting and being forgiven of sin, and that God has called a prophet to lead and guide us. I am a Mormon because I have felt, after prayer and reading the Book of Mormon, that the teachings of the Church are true. I have come to know for myself that Joseph Smith, under the authority and direction of God, restored the church that Jesus Christ formed anciently on the earth. I have met many that feel that all churches are right and that it doesn't matter which you follow. I believe that many churches are good, and that wonderful people attend many different churches. I feel strongly that God has given His authority to only one church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that the church holds all of the authority and ordinances for salvation.

How I live my faith

My faith dictates how I treat others. Although I fail every day, I try and see others as Jesus saw those around Him - as sons and daughters of God trying to live the best they know how. My faith helps me to treat people with kindness, respect, and love. Those attributes are not common in my profession. I am always amazed at how surprised people sometimes are when those attributes rise to the surface in the way I treat others. Isn't that how we'd all like to be treated?

What do Mormons believe about family?

Dave
Families are one of God's greatest gifts to us. They provide strength, hope, and happiness. Family life can be successful if it's based upon love, respect, service, work, and fun. We believe that God intends for families to live together forever if they live righteously, and if marriages are performed by proper authority. Show more Show less
