Hi I'm Luke

I grew up in 5 countries, attended 3 high schools and recently graduated from college. I'm a Latter-Day Saint (Mormon)

About Me

I moved every 2 to 3 years growing up overseas in: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany, Tanzania and several states in America. I am a brother, an uncle, a son and a husband. I recently graduated from college and now work as a Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Specialist and interpreter for the Deaf . I love photography, outdoor activities, sports, music and history.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church. Much of my family are Latter Day Saints, some are not. I adhere to this faith because the principles and teachings of this church have helped me to understand my purpose in life, my goals, and ultimately how to achieve lasting and sincere happiness. I do not view myself as simply a member of a religion, but instead as a child of God. As his child, I do my best to make him proud by living a helpful, honest and influential life. I seek to lift myself and others to a level of dignity and lasting fulfillment by following the principles and teachings that Jesus Christ taught while he was on the earth and that he continues to teach through this church that he has re-established. I love the design of the world that has been given to us by God, I know he has given us life and has a plan for all of us. We are not mere accident or products of an invisible, meaningless force. We are children of a Father who has placed us here to learn and develop. I know that we have a purpose and through this church, we can learn of what that purpose is.

How I live my faith

I interact and communicate with others openly and sincerely. I attend church meetings, service projects for international and community outreach events. As a 19 year old I served a 2 year volunteer proselyting mission to the Deaf in NYC because I wanted them to have happiness, meaning and hope in life and eternity. I currently teach Sunday School to my peers in college at my local congregation.
