Hi I'm Ignacio

I'm a Mormon. I grew up In Los Angeles, California

About Me

A little about myself I came from Mexico to the US illegally I was well hidden my mother was two months pregnant with me. I was born in Los Angeles, California many moons ago. I was raised Catholic although I did not go the Church often.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to come home for lunch from work. On one of those day I was having lunch and the door bell rang guest who? Yes two young missionary. Elder Rogers and Elder Hatch were at the door. These two young missionary shared the true gospel with me from the Book of Mormon. It is my testimony that I know without a shadow of a doubt. That the book of Mormon is the true word of God. I testify that we have a living Prophet Pres.Thomas S. Monson. I know that Jesus Christ is Our Savior and that He lives. I testify that He loves us. I know that He is the rock upon which this, His true Church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church for over 29 years. I have held diffidence position in the Church which has given me the opportunity to grow stronger in the Church over the years. I also have the wonderful privilege of being a home teacher, visiting five families every month or more frequently if needed to assist and befriend the families. To see how they are doing in their lives. These visits are reported to the Bishop monthly this way he know how the families are doing in his ward. I look forward to attending my church services every Sunday to renew my covenants with the Lord while partaking of the sacrament. I am so grateful for the process of repentance and that each week I can start anew, I am far from perfect my wife and kids will confirm this. Yet, we can continually strive to become better thanks to our Lord and Savior. I seldom miss church, maybe once a year and when I do I really miss it. I love to cook so I am always cooking at the Churches pancake breakfast for the fourth of July. Two times a year I am in charge of the Churches Barbecue. I teach some of the time. I love to give a talk on Sunday when I am asked to this help me grow stronger in the Church. Reading scripture and praying on a consistent daily basis for Heavenly Fathers help and spiritual direction help me stay in the straight and narrow path. I live my faith by trying to emulate the way Jesus Christ lived His life. For example, I often remember one of His teachings known as “the golden rule” which, paraphrased, says to do unto others as you would like them to do unto you Matthew 712. It is a simple and yet powerful truth that has been a continual blessing throughout my life. It guides my interactions with everyone around me whether they are family, friends, neighbors, co-workers or complete strangers.
