Hi I'm Patty

I grew up in Ohio. I have four children and three grand children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with my family. I have a full time job. During my free time I enjoy cross stitching, scrapbooking, family history, dancing, learning more about music, reading. I have four grown children 3 boys and 1 girl. I have had the opportunity to travel and would love to do more. Once had the opportunity to live in Greece for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was very young I always had questions about God. As a teenager, I continued to have questions and began doing some searching. I had not been raised in a religious family. I heard of a family who was very close and they were Mormon. I wanted very much to have a close family and desired to hear more about this church that helped to keep families close. Later, I met two Mormon girls my age and we spoke about religion. Later, I attended a Mormon church on my own, and had the Missionaries to my home. I learned that the church was true and decided to become a member myself. I'm so grateful that I have been able to find this gospel and learn who I am, why I'm here and where I go after this life is over. It has helped me to be more calm and reassured in and during these trying times that we have and has helped me to know that there is a purpose to this life and that we have a Father in Heaven who loves and cares about each and every one of us individually.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church on Sundays and by trying to be a good example to those I come into contact with. I am serving as the first counselor in our ward Young Women Presidency. I love working with the youth and am growing spiritually in this opportunity to serve. Each time I have accepted an invitation to teach, I find that I continue to learn and grow. Going to church on Sunday, helps me to prepare spiritually for the coming week, and helps me to learn more about the Savior and my Heavenly Father and how they would want me to live and conduct my life. I receive guidance and direction, also inspiration on my life and am constantly reminded of the blessings that have been given to me.
