Hi I'm Mindy

I'm a young, working wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life stays pretty busy with work, spending time with my husband and our families, and trying to fit in as much fun as possible. We have almost been married for two years but haven't been blessed with any children yet.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, but like everyone I had to figure it out for myself. The point this hit for me was toward the end of high school and into my first year of college, I was still attending church but struggling with understanding my own testimony. I struggled with who I was and felt very depressed even though I kept it together on the outside. The change came when I decided to read the Book of Mormon entirely because President Hinckley's challenge. From there my happiness came flooding back in the more I immersed myself in the gospel by following it's precepts...I've never looked back.

How I live my faith

I like being able to have friends all around me at church and activities. I especially love being able to meet with the sisters of my ward every week. It is so special to be able to take time to focus on our strengths and talents as women. I'm not talking about just cooking and cleaning. There are sisters with so many unique talents and individual strengths its amazing to be able to share experiences in church meetings with them.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Mindy
Going to the temple is a special opportunity. It isn't that the church doesn't want everyone to be able to participate in temple services, it is just that a special spirit needs to preside in the temple. Everyone who is ready spiritually and worthy is encouraged to enter the temple. Show more Show less
