Hi I'm Mark

I was raised in New York State. I learned about Jesus Christ. Now I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a fan of college basketball. I like bowling. I like running... I'm trying to recapture that high school glory. : ) I volunteer time locally to benefit the community. I love my family - my wife and kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about The Church more fully when I was in college. I started taking the discussions from the missionaries and loved learning intricate details of the gospel. I appreciated the understanding I gained of the scriptures. I later prayed to know if I should be baptized a member of The Church. I often joke that after what I felt, I said to myself, "Darn." What I felt was that I should become a member of Jesus Christ's Church, and I knew that it would require a change in my life. I've never regretted that decision. It's helped me become a better person - the kind of person I always wanted to become. I believe the gospel and everything in this Church points us and brings us closer to Christ.

How I live my faith

I'm lucky to have a great wife. Together we keep each other going, reading the scriptures, praying together, going to Church.... As we try to be "edified" through our own personal growth, to feel that warm feeling from the Spirit, we find we can also feel great when we serve others. I do that through visiting people in their homes, sharing lessons about faith and other scripture stories, and encouraging others to live good lives.
