Hi I'm Wayne

I grew up in Canada, moved to the US in the early 90's and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Alberta, with my father a member of the Church and my mother was a member of the United Church. I attended most of my education in Calgary, but when I started grade 12, we moved to Creston BC.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 13 years old, through the diligence of extended family, my family started taking the missionary discussions. I remember when being taught about prophets, the missionaries posed the question, "if we are God's Children, and why would he give us prophets in Old and New Testament times, but not give us prophets today". This question really struck me. Then when we were taught about Joseph Smith, how the Book of Mormon came into being, and the restoration, it was as though I was being told something I had always known. It was as though a light went on and it filled my understanding.

How I live my faith

I currently am married to the love of my life, and have been for over 20 years, and can say without any reservations, that I love her more now that when we married. We have 5 children, with our oldest daughter married. I currently serve as the Ward Clerk, where I have responsibility for keeping track of the membership within our congregation, along with the finances.
