Hi I'm Sue Brown

When my husband proposed marriage to me he asked me to please change colors (from Green to Brown). I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was married to my husband for 38 years before I became a widow. We raised 4 wonderful sons, three of which are married, and they have given us 12 special grandchildren. I taught half-day Kindergarten for 21 years. I love to read, exercise, play the piano, and spend time with my family. My husband and I lived for about a year in Kyiv, Ukraine with his work assignment and also went on humanitarian trips to Guatemala and Peru.

Why I am a Mormon

The teachings and doctrines have been an anchor and foundation to me all my life. It has answered life's important questions about who I am (a child of God), why I am here on earth, and where I am going after this life. When my husband died suddenly my faith and knowledge gave me hope and peace because I know that I will see him again. I also know that I can be with him and my family forever because of what our Savior did for us and because I have been sealed to them in a temple of the Lord. I now have a great desire to share these truths with others.

How I live my faith

I love to serve my neighbors and friends and am active in my church. I've been a teacher, played the piano and organ for church services and funerals, served in leadership positions in our women, young women, and children's organizations, and been a temple worker in the Draper Utah Temple. My husband and four sons all served 2 year missions for our church. I served an 18 month mission to Nauvoo, Illinois from April 2014 to October 2015.
