Hi I'm Shawn.

I have spent my life traveling all over the world pursuing my three passions, my faith, my family, and swimming. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Growing up I always dreamed of high adventure, traveling the world, fighting battles, and winning the beautiful girl. I have to say that I have been led on a great adventure that has allowed me to do all of those things. I was married about 2 years ago and my wife and I welcome our first child is almost 6 months old. I have entered the best time of my life t to this point and I love my life. I am still attending school and coaching swimming with some local swim teams. I enjoy the opportunity to work with kids and share my experiences to help them learn and grow. I know that I have been guided in my life to the places that God wants me be. I have been led to the adventures, the battles, and the woman that have helped me become the best I can be. I am excited for what the future holds ad I hope to continue to grow through each adventure and battle that I face.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the doctrine of eternal family. I know that through the priesthood, I am sealed, linked, to my wife and children beyond death. As I keep the commandments of God, I find peace and grow closer to my family. My wife and I have been able to work through many of the intimidating challenges that newlywed couples face because we know our relationship is built on faith and love. I know that Heavenly Father loves and guides my family and wants us to return back to live with him. I am grateful to know that, no matter what happens, my family and I will be together. This knowledge gives me courage and faith to push through all the tests and trials that I face in this short mortal journey.

How I live my faith

I love serving in the church. I teach the brothers in my ward. During the lesson, we discuss the principles of the gospel such as faith, repentance, service, the Sabbath Day, and other important principles and commandments. I love learning from the experiences other members of my ward have had throughout their lives. I am also a home teacher. I go and visit a couple of families in my ward and check in on them to see if they need help and to ensure they are doing well. I have been able to be see one of the families have a baby and see the miracle of life enter their home. I never feel more satisfied with serving others than I do as a home teacher.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

The Mormon lifestyle is one of peace, faith, and joy. We live knowing that we are children of our Heavenly Father who loves us. With this knowledge we understand our purpose in life. This purpose gives our lives meaning and direction that allows us to face our trials with a belief that Heavenly Father knows us and will guide us. We know that this life is a chance to prepare ourselves to meet God, to love and serve one another, and to live and grow in families. My family is the greatest blessing of my life and I know that Heavenly Father instituted family to bless my life and lives of all of His children. All in all, Mormons strive to live a life filled with family, service, and a determination to do good. Show more Show less
