Hi I'm Yves

I grew up in France and now live in the United Kingdom. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am 27, and working for a medical practice. I have been married for 4 years now and have a beautiful baby girl. I used to be a rowing champion in France, and I love sports in general. I also play instruments, such as the guitar, the bass and the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were baptized when I was 4, so I don't have many memories without the Church. I used to rely on their testimony for a while but as I grew up, I found a need to know for myself. My father oriented me towards a scripture found in the Book of Mormon, Alma 37:35, which reads "O, remember, my son, and learn wirdom in thy youh; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God". He then told me that if I wanted to find out, I needed to put things to the test. So I started reading the Book of Mormon, and enquiring the Lord about his veracity. It actually didn't take long before I received my answer. I knew then the Book of Mormon was inspired, and that it was scriptures. It doesn't stop there. I'm still an active member of the Church. The restored gospel has blessed my life so much. I can't believe all the blessings I receive. The Lord has opened the windows of heaven in my life so many times. I have had many experiences despite my young age that reinforced my testimony. I love it. It focuses so much on Christ and His love for each and every one of us. As I study the scriptures such as the Bible and the Book of Mormon and as I pray to my Heavenly Father, I can feel that every day. One of the key moments in my life was when my daughter was born. When I looked at her at the hospital, I knew that I could be with her and with my wife as a family together forever if we continue to do what God asks us to do. There is nothing more comforting and reassuring than this.

How I live my faith

At the moment, I am responsible for the youth in different cities. I am supposed to see if they are ok, if the people watching over them are alright, and organising frequent events for the youth to gather together and be able to have fun with other youth who share their beliefs. I am also visit three families at the moment to check if there are alright and if they need anything. We have Gospel discussions with each other too.
