Hi I'm Monique

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the wife of my very best friend and the mother of 3 teenagers. I have lived in South America, Central America, and all over the United States. I love to travel with my family, meet new people, and explore the wonderful world we live in. I can often be found trying a new recipe, playing board games with my family, and doodling in my notebook.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because the principles taught validate that I am truly a Daughter of God. With that knowledge I know that I can never fail at the things that matter most. Family is so important to me. I never want to be without the ones I love. I feel comfort because I understand that the Priesthood (the proper authority to act in the name of God) has been restored to the earth. Because it is here, I know that I can be with my family forever. I am a Mormon because following the example of my Savior gives me hope. In happy times and times of trial or frustration, I know that I am never alone. Because I have hope, I can trust that just being the best version of me is truly enough for my Heavenly Father. I am a Mormon because I don't know any other way to be so genuinely happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by looking for ways to serve my family and others through my actions and words. A simple way I do this each day is with my teenagers by sharing a spiritual thought and prayer together. I feel these moments with them will help them make better choices while they are on their own. When I am out and about running errands, I am always on the look-out for someone who could use a little cheering up. I try and hold doors open, smile and offer compliments to people who look like they could use a friend. As I do this, I hope that I am following the scripture in Matthew that says, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” I live my faith by trying to be a good example and a good friend to others.
