Hi I'm Julia
I'm a mom of six children, one of them an angel. I'm a piano teacher and a writer. I'm a Mormon.
I love being a mom and spending time with my family outdoors hiking, camping, and canoeing. My husband and I have six amazing children, our oldest passed away two weeks before her thirteenth birthday. Music is special in our home, I play the piano and the French horn. In fact, my husband and I met in the French horn section at Ricks College. We enjoy singing around the piano and at nursing homes. I enjoy gardening, reading books in our hammock, and scrapbooking. I also love to write books.
I'm a Mormon because living the gospel of Jesus Christ fills me with joy. As I strive to keep the commandments and center my life around Jesus Christ, I receive the strength I need to make through the rough, or even seemingly impossible, patches of life. It makes it possible to find the beautiful amidst the burdens. I have felt the Holy Ghost testify to me of the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that we have a Heavenly Father who knows and loves us and has given us a beautiful plan to help us return to him. I know families are eternal and this knowledge fills my life with joy and hope. I know Jesus Christ lives and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contains the fullness of His gospel, restored to this earth.
I live my faith by remembering to have joy and find the beauty in all things. I strive to pray and read the scriptures daily, both on my own and with my family. I let my faith guide my daily actions and decisions in trying to become more like Jesus Christ. My life and faith are enriched as I serve others on a daily basis and through my church callings. At present I work with the 12-18 year-old girls and I think teenagers are some of my favorite people in the world. Working with them reaffirms my faith and love for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
