Hi I'm Andrew

I enjoy life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently going to school to get my Masters of Accountancy. I just got married to the girl of my dreams. I like to read, ski, and run around.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but have had the opportunity to pray for myself whether God was real, and what He would have me do. My prayers have continually been answered by the promptings of the Spirit. I strongly believe that by listening to the Spirit and by seeking God's will, all can come to know what path God would have them follow.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the the eternal truths that I have learned, while listening and learning from what others have learned from their own experiences.   My wife and I currently teach an adult class every other week about teachings of the savior in the New Testament. We prepare by reading passages in the Bible, and then leading class discussions on how to more fully apply Christ's teachings in our lives. Truly there is much to be learned as we try to follow His example.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Inside temples, I would say three main things happen. First, we are taught about the plan that Gad has for us on this Earth. Second, we make promises with God where we promise to obey God's commandments, and God promises to help us return to live with Him. Third, couples can be married for this life and sealed to have a relationship that will last forever after death. Because these promises are so important, a person should not make them until they understand the significance of the promises and are ready to make such promises. It would not be good for a someone to enter into a contract until they are ready to keep their part of the bargain. For example, if someone entered into a cell phone contract before they were really going to use the phone and before they had a job to pay the bill, entering the contract would be unwise as it would only hurt them as they tried to pay the bills and got nothing out of it. Everyone is invited to enter the temple, but they just need to first be a member of the church for a certain amount of time to show that they are ready to make such promises with God. My favorite thing about the temple is the peace that is felt there. I can truly feel closer to God and get clearer answers to my prayers as I enter the temple. I am grateful to have temples on the Earth today where I can be married for eternity with my wife, and have a quiet place to ponder and learn more about God. Show more Show less
