Hi I'm Marc

I'm a father, a nerd, a balloon artist, a linguist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn, especially in science and languages. I use my master's degree in linguistics to create better internet search experiences foe multiple languages. I enjoy being a father and bread-winner. And I LOVE making balloon creations!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it was the one thing that shone brightly as I sought religious calm. I grew up a Methodist in a very practicing Christian family. In college, after several years of not attending church, I felt the need to begin attending and seek out God. I had been to many churches in my lifetime. This time I decided to attend LDS services with my friend who had always been a great example of belief and lifestyle. That day, for the first time, I felt comfortable and at home in a church setting. As I conversed with missionaries in the next week, I realized that I had found a faith and doctrine that answered all my questions and aligned with all things I wanted to believe. And all throughout, I felt a growing and powerful warmth inside as the Holy Ghost witnessed to me that I had chosen well. Why am I a Mormon? Because it felt right, and because it continues to feel right. Everyone deserves to feel this way.

How I live my faith

I do just that I live me faith. I used to worship at set times and places. Now I seek to follow God in all my daily actions.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Did Christ only help the Jews? The two great commandments are to love God and to love your neighbor as yourself. Mormons are Christians, and we follow the same creed that everyone is a child of our Heavenly Father and deserving of our sympathy, charity, and love. Were it not for a good friend of mine who was a Mormon being concerned about how I led my life and where it would take me, I myself would not have discovered the joy of the Mormon faith and lifestyle. As Christ taught, in lessons and by example, we help anyone and everyone who has need and will accept a hand of friendship. Be it a close friend who needs a listening ear or a nation ravaged by natural disaster, anyone in need will see that the Mormons are among the first to extend a helping hand with love and good will.
