Hi I'm Nathan

I speak Russian. I'm going to medical school next year. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Tennessee and Virginia. I love the South! Biscuits and gravy and fried okra are two of my favorite foods. I also love reading, and I've always been a little bit of a nerd. I played soccer and ran track in high school. My favorite hobby is cooking. Asian and Italian are my favorite "food genres." I also love classic rock, especially Styx, Aerosmith, and Bon Jovi. I served a 2-year volunteer mission for my church in Samara, Russia. I'm currently a Senior majoring in Exercise Science. I'm applying to medical school this summer.

Why I am a Mormon

Choice is paramount to me. It's a fundamental concept. Choices arise. Choices are made. And consequences ensue. Choices make us who we are. Are we kind? Are we disciplined? Are we hard-working? Are we happy? Are we understanding and tolerant? Who we are as individuals comes as a direct result of what we do. If we make good choices, we will develop good qualities. I know that there is a God, and that He wants us to make good choices. The reason I'm a Mormon is because I know that God has given us everything we need to make good choices...

How I live my faith

I go to church on Sundays. It's a great opportunity to recharge my "spiritual batteries." On some Sundays, I teach Sunday School. We focus on the Old and New Testaments, the Book of Mormon, and words from current Church leaders. I also occasionally visit other church members to make sure they're doing alright.
